Este es el cuarto y último vídeo de las cuatro mesas de trabajo que tuvieron lugar en la Politeia Joven 2007 de Córdoba. Este es el último vídeo que incorporamos a este blog, pero aún nos queda por incorporar más recursos, enlaces, ideas y noticias. Por ello os recomendamos volver pronto a este blog Estas son las preguntas que, a modo de guía, formulamos a esta mesa número 1:

-Poned ejemplos de maneras de utilizar la cultura para unir a grupos en conflicto.
-¿La cultura puede ser vacuna preventiva y medicina –antes y durante un conflicto- y tratamiento posterior? ¿Podéis mencionar ejemplos de las tres situaciones?

This is the last video we add to this blog, but, we have to include here a lot of resources, links and news. -Do you know any projects or proposals based on creativity that you would like to share with the rest of participants?
-Is it culture a good link to get people united around creative proposals?
-Give us some examples of how to use culture to make groups in conflict united.
-Can culture be a preventive medicine –before and during a conflict – and post conflict treatment? Can you give us examples of these 3 situations?

Mesa 4: prevención e interculturalidad // Corner #4: Prevention and Interculturality

En este nueva mesa os presentamos el resumen del encuentro de trabajo que en esta ocasión fue acerca de la prevención y la interculturalidad. Estas eran las preguntas-guía que habíamos planteado a este grupo:

->Conocerse como medio de evitar la intolerancia.

-¿El barrio puede ser un centro de actividad cultural en la búsqueda de la convivencia pacífica?

-¿Qué tipo de propuestas conocéis para la mejora de la convivencia basadas en la prevención y la interculturalidad?

-¿Nuestro trabajo de prevención es realmente útil y efectivo para atajar posibles conflictos? ¿Qué necesitamos para que nuestro trabajo redunde en beneficio de la convivencia en nuestra comunidad?

-¿Hasta qué punto las instituciones debieran apoyar nuestros proyectos de prevención de conflictos? ¿Estamos formados en las organizaciones de tu país para la puesta en marcha de este tipo de iniciativas?

-¿Los medios de comunicación contribuyen a crear una imagen de equilibrio en un mundo globalizado y multicultural como el nuestro?

Este participante de la Politeia 2007 vino desde Albania, un país rodeado por muchas zonas de conflicto bélico que han amenazado con extenderse: la Guerra de los Balcanes, Kosovo, Macedonia… Un estado que, además, vive un proceso democratizador y de reformas que, al mismo tiempo, se encuentra a las puertas de la Unión Europea.

This participant of the Politeia 2007 came from Albania, a country sorrounded by a very conflicted area that was in risk of extension: the Balcanic war, Kosovo, Macedonia… Nowadays, Albania lives a process of democratization and reforms and, at the same time, is at the door of the European Union.

1. What kind of participation is it more important: individual or collective?
2. Why is it so important to gather the individual proposals of people not taking part in any organisation?
3. What are the functions and contributions of collective participation?
4. Do you think the European Union is an open and participative project?
5. From the institutions, how do you think they could promote the two kinds of participation?
6. Can Internet be useful for improving the participation of citizens in the decision making?

Mesa 3: Convivencia escolar // Corner #3: School environment

-MESA 3.- Convivencia escolar
->El centro escolar como centro de vitalismo cultural y como comunidad donde todos/as crecemos: padres y madres, alumnos/as y docentes y resto de personal.
11.-¿Para promover la convivencia es mejor un sistema educativo segregacionista que separa a las personas según su origen o la convivencia de culturas y grupos sociales diversos en el mismo centro? ¿La coexistencia es sinónimo de convivencia?
12.-¿Cada centro escolar debe potenciar la comunidad escolar creando proyectos donde intervengan padres y madres, alumnos/as y docentes y resto de personal?
13.-¿La biblioteca escolar debe ser sólo una herramienta educativa o también un pequeño centro cultural y creativo abierto también a la labor de padres y madres?

Schools as the cultural and community centre where all of us grow up: parents, students, teachers and other staff
11. To improve the relations, is it better a segregationist educative system that divide people according to their origin or having different cultures and social groups together in the same educative centre?
12. Coexisting is it a synonym of sharing?
13. Do you think schools should promote the community creating projects where parents, students, teacher and other staff should be involved?
14. The school library, must it be an educative tool or also a kind of little cultural and creative centre also open to the parents?
15. What is the role that religions should have in schools?
16. Is it possible to “avoid” international days”? What other proposals would you take to school centres in other dates?
